In Chapter 2, “Education Goals for the Twenty-First Century,” of your textbook, the authors present a sequence of change management focus (Figure 2.7). This focus describes a flow-down management from educational goals to standards, standards to assessment, assessment to curricula, and finally curricula to professional development.
Critique this approach as you relate it to a specific program within your institution.

ReplyDeleteJeannie doesn't work in higher ed, and also noted that the model is not best suited for her work. Although she uses elements of the model, her use doesn't follow the same "flow" as the diagram.
I wonder if the authors intended for the model to fit the various areas of education. For example, educational consultants, schools with specializations, etc.
